Icon Water is seeking to employ a Design Manager to ensure the timely execution of multi-disciplinary design deliverables across the program.

Duties

What does the role look like?

Being successful in this role will give you the opportunity to work on innovative and challenging projects across all engineering disciplines. Some of our major programs in the near future include upgrades to our infamously unique sewerage treatment plant, renewing our biggest reservoirs, developing renewable energy systems and increasing the capacity of our major pipeline to make way for our growing city.

You will also have the opportunity to influence the direction and strategy of the newly established design team.This multi-disciplinary team will drive design deliverable across the program, including the management of internal and external resources.

What are we looking for? (Selection Criteria)

Someone who is dedicated, knowledgeable in the design space, can inspire your team to achieve outcomes. Someone with an engineering degree is preferable.

  • Demonstrated experience in a design office and managing multi-disciplinary design projects
  • Experience within a consulting environment and managing in
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of design and engineering processes
  • Extensive experience and application of safety in design processes
  • Experience and demonstrated knowledge of design phase budgeting and estimating.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to inspire and motivate others to achieve organisational objectives
