Web Developer - In House Full Stack

We are seeking a web developer to join our In house team located in HQ at Bondi Junction.  We will consider a recent graduate who is ambitions and solutions focused with excellent communication skills.


You’ll play an active role in administering and managing our Guardian group websites, applications as well as directly supporting our marketing team build our online presence.

We will consider a recent graduate who is ambitious, inquisitive and seeks solutions.

You’ll be proficient, if not fluent, with:

PHP/HTML/JS/CSS and Wordpress CMS

Git or other VCS

Sysadmin for website hosting servers

Relational and nonrelational databases

Integrating external services through APIs

UI/UX Design using Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, XD or other prototyping tools

A/B and multivariate testing of designs to maximise conversions using Google Optimize, Optimizely or similar platforms

Quality assurance

Web security

Google analytics and turning data into actionable insights

Turning business needs into real working products

Experience with Python and popular web frameworks (e.g Django/Flask) viewed highly

Your role will also include:

Online content and website management of Guardian's corporate and individual child care centre websites

Building of EDM templates, managing lists and executing EDM campaigns

Assist in developing, implementing and monitoring the group SEO/SEM strategy

Creating and managing Google Local Business locations for Guardian centres

Adding fresh content on a regular basis for SEO purposes

Supporting the marketing team with analysis and reporting on website traffic, conversion and online campaigns

Domain registration, renewal and maintenance

Administration and content upkeep of internal systems, including user provisioning and assigning permissions

About you:

You’ll be a full-stack web developer and an integral part of our in-house marketing team. You’ll be passionate about technology and you’ll have experience across a variety of software and web development facets, from HTML, CSS, Sass, MySQL, PHP, Python, JavaScript and Git to name a few. You’ll be familiar with WordPress CMS and have experience integrating with external APIs.

You will be a creative at heart with solid design experience across UX /UI with the ability to produce aesthetic and insight driven designs prototypes. You’ll enjoy our fast-paced working environment where no two days is the same.
