Senior Leasing Executive

We are currently recruiting a rare opportunity for an experienced Senior Leasing Executive to manage one of our largest leading Retail Assets in New South Wales.

To be successful in this role you will hold exceptional relationship, negotiation and communication skills with prior experience in delivering high quality leasing experiences to existing and potential tenants. Additionally you will be supported by a talented team of Tenancy Delivery, Retail Design and Administration professionals who share an equal passion in delivering high quality service.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Preparation of the retail plan on a shop by shop basis to include in asset plan.
  • End to end Lease negation
  • Manage a team of Leasing executives on the respective centres.
  • Budget and target rents for renewals, MRR’s, vacancies and critical tenants in asset plan
  • Work closely with the Development Manager on retail planning and rental levels in centres under development.
  • Introduction and onboarding of new retailers and retail formats to the portfolio / centre.
  • Development and maintenance of a potential retailer list.
  • Negotiation of all leases for allocated deals within limits of authority, (inc MRR’s) to maximise owner’s rental income keeping within retail plan and budget parameters and relevant legislation.
  • Working to key KPI’s and revenue targets
  • Preparation of Discounted Cash Flows (DCF’s) including capex required and rationale for deal approval” for each deal
  • Signed lease documentation and bank guarantee is fully executed prior to tenant opening for trade.
  • Influence specialty base rent (renewal and MRR rent) vacancies, renewals, new leases, market rent reviews and critical tenancies within limits of authority
  • Ongoing management of critical tenants when;
  • Identifying over trading retailers and develop strategies for growing or assisting further sales growth opportunity, possibly in other centres.
  • Ability to meet with and develop the Leasing executives within the team.

About your experience

To be successful in this role you will ideally hold the below experience

  • 5 years’ experience working in a similar role
  • Compulsory retail leasing experience working in an agency, landlord or retailor. 
  • Tertiary degree in a property related field (Desirable not essential)
