Governance Officer


The Governance Officer supports the Company Secretary and Head of Legal, Compliance and Governance.
  
This role will perform a variety of tasks, duties and responsibilities within the Fund’s specialist governance division, including providing secretariat and governance support to Board and Management Committees and assisting in the running of the Fund’s Governance Framework/s and policies.
  
The role will deal with highly confidential information and a variety of senior stakeholders throughout the organisation.
  
You will have a background in either a superannuation fund and/or corporate governance, and must have the capability and experience to manage pressure, tight timelines, attention to detail and competing stakeholder priorities.
  
The successful candidate will possess knowledge and have an understanding in providing a full suite secretariat and governance services (including though not limited to action registers, minutes, calendars, papers, attendance and quorum checks, charter reviews, meeting conduct, checklists, Chair liaison, upholding Cbus governance practices etc) to Board and Committees.
  
You will have excellent verbal communication skills and highly developed report writing and general written communication skills. Along with the ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with a range of stakeholders.  You will also be tertiary qualified in a business, legal or related field.
