Product Manager


We are looking for an experienced and energetic Product Manager to contribute to FlexCareers’ entire product portfolio with the ultimate goal of growing our user base and delighting our clients. You will report to the COO and play a pivotal role in enabling growth in the business.The Product Manager position is accountable for identifying customer needs, implementing the latest technology to improve products, developing strategies to meet customer demands, monitoring the progress of new products and identifying opportunities that align with the company roadmap and vision. You will also work closely with the executive team to assist in developing a product roadmap. You are a seasoned SaaS Product Manager with proven experience delivering outstanding multi-platform product experiences, bringing new products to market while also iterating on existing products. You are an Agile development champion and are able to write detailed, accurate and thoughtful user stories and acceptance criteria. You are excited by the prospect of working directly on shipping simple, beautiful product and are aware of what it takes to get from envisioning ideas to delivering the final product.

Duties

  • Own the day-to-day responsibility of the product backlog, sprint planning and release schedule.
  • Plan and manage the delivery of new products and features in 2 week sprints.
  • Create exceptional, detailed and accurate user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage stakeholders throughout product development process, ensuring they are well informed about project progress and any changes/adjustments as they occur.
  • Collaborate effectively with UX resources and engineers developing the product.
  • Be accountable for project outcomes (delivering on time and within budget at the required quality).
  • Make data-based decisions using analytics, user research, survey feedback, or in-person user testing, to identify and organize clear, concise actions, arriving at practical solutions to problems.
  • Ensure high levels of communication with the Marketing team so that new products/features are effectively communicated to customers and users.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of acquisition, activation, and retention with respect to platform development.
  • Comfortable wearing a few hats in the development cycle including UAT.
  • Collaborate effectively with a wide range of business stakeholders; marketing, sales, customer service and the executive team.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a SaaS Product Management role
  • A solid understanding of web tech stacks, you will be familiar with the backend, frontend, and everything in between.
  • You are a problem solver who is excited by a challenge. You have a structured process to problem-solving and can take a problem with many moving parts, and break it down into small achievable actions. You know when to be flexible though, and can alter your structure to fit the needs of the team and project.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. You are a great listener and can understand the needs of the business and convert them into clear and easily understood specifications for the technical team.
  • You are a user advocate that values the backing of research and data analysis when it comes to creating modern solutions, shipping new products, and addressing your users’ real needs.
  • You are a Jira & Confluence guru
  • Champion of Agile Development
  • Common sense and pragmatic approach to delivering effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic who is able to manage multiple projects and excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously

Highly Regarded Skills

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or higher
  • Ruby on Rails experience
