Head of Marketing and Employer Branding

You’re a talented marketer with specific experience in human resources, recruitment or employer branding, ideally gained in a high growth business that balances B2B and B2C priorities. 

Passionate about customer experience and operational excellence, you’ll thrive working in a fast-paced start-up environment, with your primary focus being to ensure that FlexCareers is clearly positioned and differentiated in the market, through compelling digital communications.

Reporting to the CEO, you’ll be responsible for developing and driving a digital-first marketing strategy that achieves business objectives, and creates meaningful brand, client and candidate growth and engagement.

Leading a small team, you’ll develop close relationships with our clients, supporting them with EVP and employer brand strategies, as well as identifying opportunities to partner on research, events and content, and diversity strategies.

We’re big on technology; from our own revolutionary AI platform, to how we use data and insights to support our clients, you’ll need to be deeply immersed in current trends and emerging products that touch our market. Working closely with our Head of Customer Experience, you’ll leverage our technology and that of our chosen vendors to deliver a seamless client and candidate journeys, and for ensuring every touch point with our business delivers a consistent brand experience.

No two days at FlexCareers are the same, we’re continually developing our products and services to meet and exceed customer expectations and we’ll rely on your insights and creativity to help us move through the development lifecycle, using best-practice methodologies to test, learn and advance.

You’ll also be responsible for identifying and developing partnerships that add value to our candidate community and help Australia and New Zealand achieve more gender diverse and equal workplaces.

We also play in the intersection of career management and superannuation - so experience in the areas of financial literacy and superannuation may help too.

About You

  • Ideally, degree qualified in Human Resources and/or Marketing
  • At least five years’ experience in an employer brand or marketing role with a focus on digital acquisition and campaign management
  • A strong interest in diversity, talent management and/or talent acquisition
  • Experienced in production; including visual and content
  • SEO, Ad Words and Google Analytics
  • Digital campaign design and execution, including eMarketing and marketing automation
  • Experience managing budgets and optimising the performance of owned and paid digital channels
  • Content strategy and planning, including social media, blogs and sponsored opportunities
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative research
  • Advanced copywriting skills, for both online and print
  • Graphic design skills (InDesign, Photoshop and/or Illustrator) highly regarded
  • Experience managing PR and visual identity agencies
  • Web and CMS skills, including WordPress
  • Project management skills
