FlexCareers started out with a mission to change the way that careers worked, enabling our community to participate in the workforce in whatever way works for them through flexibility at work.
We've brought together a community of almost 40,000 Australians all seeking some sort of flexibility at work to enable the non-work parts of their life to work a little better, and matched them up with an impressive client list made up of some of Australia's most progressive local and international corporate employers. When our community asked us for recommendations for career and executive coaches, we brought you FlexCoach, a curated retail panel of the nation's best coaches.
Now it's time to scale that idea for the corporate market. And that's where you come in.
Based on extensive feedback from our customers, FlexCareers is launching a second platform dealing with short term projects in the L&D / OD / HR space that looks a lot like freelancer.com. In the same way you might go to hipages to find a tradie, or airtasker if you want to have someone clean your house, corporate HR teams would go to FlexPro if they need an L&D project designed and delivered by an expert facilitator.

Of course, the list here is only the start - we expect projects to flow in across the entire People & Performance spectrum.
So who are we looking for? In short, the best HR / OD / L&D / coaches in the country who are looking for freelance-style project work. It's not for everyone - you shouldn't expect stable, permanent jobs on FlexPro, rather the sorts of short-term projects that HR teams are currently outsourcing. We're open-sourcing our own relationships with corporate HR teams so our community can get access to bid on project work they wouldn't otherwise get a chance to see. For our corporate customers, they get access to hundreds or even thousands of experts and choose the best one.
We won't be your employer. But we will source the projects, give you a chance to ask questions to the project owner and handle all payments in return for a modest commission. You will be an expert in one or more domains across the HR spectrum and need your own ABN. Some experience of pricing competitive bidding tenders will help, but other than that, we can't see any other 'must-haves' - the range of projects will be quite broad as will the experience of our FlexPro freelancers.
Unfortunately we can't take everyone - our corporate clients are looking for freelancers with extensive experience (>5 years) and expert knowledge across at least one part of the HR spectrum.
