Finance Manager


We are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join our Australian Building business. Lendlease Building is Australia’s largest construction company, known for our ability to deliver high-quality projects on time and on budget. In this newly created busy and varied role reporting to the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive analytics, insights and management reporting on key business construction metrics within Projects, Pipeline and Procurement;
  • Drive the development of Tableau reports and dashboards for Management Reporting and Key performance indicators (KPIs);
  • Drive excellence in Balance sheet management including active review of the ledger and reconciliation process including the alignment of business requirements and delivery by Finance Services;
  • Drive excellence and ongoing discipline of finance administration focus areas across our Business Units;
  • Coordinating management reporting deliverables and reporting consistency for a large portfolio of projects;
  • Ensure robust financial controls are in place, as well as integrity of all financial systems, processes and improvements;
  • Being passionate about driving improvement across the business, its systems and processes;
  • Lead various initiatives including concept design and delivery;
  • Implementation of improved cash flow reporting;
  • Guiding and mentoring more junior members of the Finance team and the wider Finance Analysts across the business.

The role will also see you drive engagement and communication through various Senior leaders within the Building Head Office team (including GM’s, the CFO, FC and National Finance Manager), across the broader Building finance teams, various Corporate functions and Financial Services located in Chatswood


Critical to success in this role will be your ability to partner closely with the varied stakeholders to ensure positive business outcomes as well as exceptional analytical capabilities. You will have strong technical skills gained within a large, complex environment with related tertiary qualifications coupled with CA/CPA status. With strong commercial acumen, you will have a result focused approach with the ability to work well under pressure. You will thrive in a team based environment and be comfortable being a motivated self-starter who can work independently with a high level of initiative. You will have had direct People Management experience.
