Our Enterprise business meets the needs of our Australian and international business and government customers with market-leading solutions and services. This function acts as the interface between Finance and the business owners providing insights and analysis to support ‘optimal’ business decision making

The Opportunity With Us

As a Finance Analyst you will work as a true business partner within our Enterprise Services function to provide financial and strategic support, quality advice and deliver on commercial and financial objectives.

This is a fantastic role that will allow you to bring your eye for improvement and your forecasting ability to provide strategic financial and business insights.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Financial control for specific Telstra Enterprise lines of business
  • Month end responsibilities to ensure that the financial results are accurate and in line with accounting principles and policies
  • Preparation and analysis of monthly outlooks, regular forecasts and annual budgets
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand financial risks, opportunities and issues
  • Present monthly business performance packs (provided by centralised reporting hub) to Enterprise Services executive leadership team.
  • Provide strategic advice and financial support to Enterprise Services executive leadership team to ensure optimal decision making
  • Provide regular and succinct analysis, key insights  and commentary to key stakeholders to assist with delivery of financial and strategic outcomes  
  • Proactive support to the business unit in the development and achievement in business and strategic plans.
  • Undertake special projects, research, and ad hoc analysis as required

Experience Required:

  • CA or CPA Qualified Professional
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a large complex organisation
  • Strong business partnering skills and the ability to engage and influence stakeholders
  • Strong financial accounting and business writing skills
  • Detailed process review and improvement
  • Communicating complex topics in a simple and easy to understand manner
  • Ability to understand and manage with a very detailed and complex environment
