The opportunity

In your role as a Senior Consultant in Finance – Performance Improvement you can expect to:

  • Focus on the Finance change agenda of our clients and support the leadership of private and public sectors organisations to assess and improve their Finance function
  • Work in multidisciplinary teams, provide insights and recommendations on people, processes and systems and work with clients to deliver improvements
  • Deepen your subject matter expertise as part of a global network of Finance and Performance Management advisory professionals

What we’re looking for

 

We’re looking for people who are passionate, engaged and are willing to work collaboratively with our clients to develop unique solutions to complex problems. We’re interested in leaders with a genuine creative vision and the confidence to make it happen. You can expect plenty of autonomy in this role, so you’ll also need the ability to take initiative and seek out opportunities to improve our current relationships and processes. If you’re serious about Finance and ready to take on some of our clients’ most complex issues, this role is for you.  

We are looking for experienced Management Consultants with at least 2 to 3 years' experience in delivering Finance change through:

  • The Finance operating model including transition to outsourcing or shared services
  • Finance organisation design and capabilities
  • Finance transactional processes and systems
  • The month end close process
  • Reporting design including KPIs
  • Planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Performance management and business intelligence tools including SAP, Hyperion and Cognos

Skills and experience

 
To qualify for the role you must:

  • Have consulting experience from a Big 4, other notable consulting practice, or have worked in a large organisation delivering programs of change in Finance
  • Have an IT, Commerce, Economics and/or a Finance orientated tertiary qualification – or an ability to demonstrate equivalent work experience.
  • Be able to demonstrate experience working with, or implementing technologies that are used within leading Finance Functions (e.g. SAP, Hyperion and Cognos)

In addition to the above, the following will be viewed highly:

  • Finance experience in Utilities, Mining and Government (or Public Service departments)
  • Experience with SAP4 Hanna
  • Blackline
  • Finance Business Intelligence and or Analytic software
