Partner Matters Senior Consultant - Sydney

The opportunity
 
The Partner Matters Senior Consultant will support all activities conducted in the Oceania Partner Matters team under the direction of the Partner Matters Senior Manager. This will include liaising with Oceania Partners to provide a central point of advice and assistance on issues relating to payments, insurance, leave, on boarding and retirements. Additionally work as part of the Asia Pacific Partner Matters team to provide consistent and seamless service.



Your key responsibilities
 
Partner payments and compensation

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and special draws (Preparation of draw worksheet and audit trail, advise Treasury of cash flow requirements, upload batches and process draws through online banking, post drawings to relevant worksheets and current accounts, administer Service Trust beneficiaries’ details and payments)
  • Arrange monthly Pensions payments and update worksheets
  • Maintain partner registers for reporting to statutory bodies
  • Calculate and manage ad hoc payments for direct admit and exiting Partners, including providing pension entitlements where applicable
  • Maintain Partner Current Accounts
  • Monthly General Ledger Reconciliations
  • Prepare Monthly Hong Kong Reporting
  • Interaction with Finance on Partner recharges
  • Arrange Partner sabbatical payments and update worksheets
  • Liaise with partners regarding income queries
  • Calculate & prepare Undistributed Profit payments – maintain worksheet
  • Prepare payment of relocation allowances
  • Prepare Annual Tax Packs for partners

Partner Flexible Work Arrangement

  • Calculate changes to draw rates for partners on FWAs
  • Prepare annual FWA letters & DBase
  • Advise changes to Payroll & People teams to align with GHRS

Insurances and Partner medicals

  • Liaise with Executive Health Solutions clinic to ensure Aon team are advised of upcoming partner medical bookings
  • Liaise with insurance broker (Aon) on outstanding and special insurance arrangements
  • Prepare annual review worksheets -check annual premium calculations provided by insurers
  • Post premiums to current accounts and collect premiums from overseas Partners
  • Advise partners of key contact details for insurance and clinics

 Partner nomination, recruitment and on boarding

  • Upon receipt of signed offer letters prepare and send new Partner packs of required documentation
  • Follow up return of all on boarding documentation and forward completed forms on to relevant parties.
  • Ensure new Partners are set up in the Partner Payroll System and Aon EY Partner Insurance Portal
  • Manage the on boarding process for Partner promotes each year to ensure all relevant documentation is completed, details are set up in required systems and worksheets.

 Ad Hoc

  • Reporting requests from other departments on partner movements, history, etc
  • Maintain shared mailbox & respond to queries
  • GCO inter-action on Litigation & Family Law issues
  • Interact with Mobility on partner secondment arrangements
  • S457 partners drawings to reflect EYAO payments (re-address Jul each year)

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong Excel skills
  • High level numeracy
  • Knowledge of Access Database
  • Able to Multi-task
  • Good eye for detail/precise
  • Tenacious
  • Experience in a payroll or broader finance role is essential
  • Customer service experience is also desirable
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
