Manager, Supply Chain & Operations - Healthcare, Advisory - Sydney or Brisbane

The opportunity

 
Within Advisory, we are continuing to grow our market leading Procurement, Supply Chain and Operations team in Sydney or Brisbane and are looking to appoint a suitable Manager for our Healthcare sector team. 


This position will see you engage closely with clients to add value and see your efforts come to fruition through large implementation programmes. You will also experience positive challenge working with large and complex asset intensive and service delivery based organisations across various industries. 


Your key responsibilities would involve:

  • Working on relevant engagements in consulting in the Clinical/ Healthcare sector
  • Leading engagements that include delivering the breadth of health advisory offerings including performance improvement and cost reduction, health system redesigns, health service integration and reconfiguration etc.
  • Playing a key role in building a team/ nurturing the development of the team including new starts, return to work and those facing adversity or previous performance related issues.

Skills and attributes for success

 

You are a natural leader who naturally demonstrates the expertise and ability to solve our client’s most complex problems. To be successful and enjoy fulfilment in this position you will hold the following types of experience:

  • Extensive experience in Healthcare Procurement, Sourcing and Supply Chain Operations
  • Intimate knowledge of some direct healthcare suppliers, products and services including for example, but not limited to Cardiovascular, Pharmacy, Orthopaedics, Medical Equipment, Clinical Consumables, Orthopaedic reconstruction and trauma, neurosurgical, spinal, opthamology, radiology, pathology, endoscopy, etc
  • Intimate knowledge of some indirect healthcare categories such as stationary and office supplies, laundry and linen, logistics, food services, facilities maintenance, ICT
  • Direct experience gained from working in the Supply Chain functions/ projects in the Healthcare sector
  • Exposure to operational transformation with the ability to identify how and where to improve a client’s processes and output.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Analytics skills to be able to conduct supply chain and procurement maturity assessments, spend analytics, price and practice benchmarking, process redesign, capability assessments, category strategy development, benefit estimating and roadmap development
  • Relationship Management - ability to build strong global and regional stakeholder relationships;
  • Influencing Skills - ability to communicate and influence across all levels and challenge thinking constructively. Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate discussions and meetings with stakeholders;
  • Passion for process improvement / delivering results (‘Building a better working world’)
  • A track record of tangible results
