Manager - Risk Transformation, Program Risk Management, Melbourne

We build a better working world by helping clients make better decisions, faster. We bring clarity to complex decision-making, helping our clients identify their most important risks, then building consensus and insight on the treatments, systems and strategies that will lead to best-practice risk management.

The Risk Transformation team in Melbourne helps clients pursue a risk based approach to decision making, to maximise the opportunity through three core service offerings:

  • Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) - we help our clients’ transition to an insight-driven and business performance-oriented approach to risk management, one that becomes intrinsic to, and embedded in the business. This encompasses risk appetite, supplier and contract risk management, options analysis and decision support, third party risk management, governance and strategic risk advice.

  • Program Risk Management (PRM) – we help our clients identify, manage and respond to program risks in order to improve program execution, build confidence and increase the likelihood of successful outcomes. We also help clients realise benefits associated with the deployment of programs by providing quality assurance over program activities.

  • Risk Controls Technology Services (RCTS) – we help our clients assess, design, and implement an array of GRC technology platforms to better grow, optimize and protect their businesses.

A broad range of risk- based advisory services our Risk Transformation team provides include Program Risk Management (PRM) which assists our clients in proactively identifying and managing risks in programs and individual projects. This can be achieved by providing independent verification of the state of mission-critical business and IT programs and initiatives (growth or operational excellence). Additionally the PRM team assists organisations with designing and implementing the governance programs necessary for ongoing decision making and risk management that can lead to success. Our team provides fact- based advice to senior executives in five strategic areas: Independent Project and Program Review (IPR); Independent Program Management Office maturity assessment; Investment Governance and Portfolio Management; Strategic Sourcing Risk Advisory and Expert Witness Services.

The opportunity
Our work involves proactively identifying and managing risk to provide clients with the visibility, predictability, and management criteria to effectively identify and manage risk to positively influence the outcome (reduce the cost and/or enhance the effectiveness) of a program or initiative. The PRM practice combines large complex program and project management experience with unique insights gained from years of program/project management experience and expert witness work. This background provides our resources with the understanding and the ability to rapidly identify and remediate the root cause of incremental failures that, if not contained, can lead to large- scale program or project failure.

Our Program Risk Management team is all about helping clients to improve the attainment of project goals and achieve the anticipated business benefits for complex programs and projects.
