Manager – Risk Transformation – Brisbane

As an experienced risk transformation professional and leader of small teams, you will know how to act as a ‘decision scientist’, managing and leading teams working on our client’s most important challenges relating to strategic risk management, business performance variability, business and process controls transformation, projects, security, resilience, enterprise governance, risk and control (GRC) technology enablement, risk culture, vendor and contract risk management, and IT risk management. In doing so, you will belong to an international network of specialists helping our clients navigate volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous environments, transforming risk functions and implementing solutions that support strategic risk management and governance.

About the opportunity
 

In your role as a Risk Transformation Manager you will be responsible for -

 

  • Managing strategic risk engagements, including enterprise risk management, mega-project risk, resilience, digital, and IT risk technology implementation
  • Leading teams, taking responsibility for outcomes, delegating and supervising team members, structuring engagements, managing engagement economics, maintaining communication and supporting senior team members on progress
  • Leading and managing the delivery of reports and schedules for clients and other parties
  • Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with clients
  • Leading business development initiatives

    About You

     

    Ideally you'll have five or more year’s previous experience working in professional services in a similar role, or Government or private enterprise, either as a risk manager, or in strategy, engineering, IT, project or similar capacity, having gained experience in the following:

     

    • Enterprise Risk Management design, implementation and operation
    • Governance, risk and compliance functional experience
    • Compliance system development and management
    • Risk assessment, mitigation and remediation
    • Project management
    • Protective security and resilience

     

    A Bachelor’s degree is a key selection criteria, and past experience in professional services a likely pre-requisite for this role. A Commonwealth security clearance, Prince 2 project management, Risk and similar qualifications and certifications is highly desirable.
