Manager – Internal Audit – Melbourne

Drawing on its reputation for providing deep industry experience and leading Advisory services to industry, EY’s Advisory Risk Services business is currently offering the opportunity to join its Internal Audit practice. You can be part of an innovative and dynamic team, offering a new level of excellence in Internal Audit business transformation.
Primarily, this opportunity leads multiple client engagement teams to develop internal audit plans, oversee the execution of internal audits and to manage client relationships through the provision of internal audit services.
Your key responsibilities
As a Manager - Internal Audit, you will be responsible for:

  • Working with clients to develop Audit Plans to assist with accomplishing business objectives through examination of the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes which comply with professional standards.
  • Leading and guiding a team to execute a range of internal audits, compliance and business process reviews under the direction of an Internal Audit Director and / or Partner. This will include: working with teams to develop and review test plans, analysing data insights, drafting reports and overseeing the reporting close out process.
  • Managing relationships with top tier clients, addressing compliance, strategic and operational risks, and assessing the client’s current state internal controls and frameworks in order to mitigate risk.
  • Liaising with clients and identify future opportunities.
  • Coaching and mentoring Senior Consultants and Consultants, building both internal and external relationships and keeping up to date with internal audit industry trends.

  • Strong technical skills in controls, risk, compliance and business process reviews
  • Inspiring leadership capability with the motivation to develop others, build high performing teams and effectively delegate with appropriate levels of support
  • Excellent project management skills including ability to oversee fieldwork
    Practical and solution oriented approach to identify technical developments, and evaluate and advise impacts

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Significant experience successfully operating at Manager level, working for a professional services organisation as an Internal Auditor or you may have worked on projects monitoring system or process controls
  • Thorough understanding of compliance, strategic and operational risks, including performing internal controls testing and developing internal audit plans
  • Australian citizenship and be eligible for security clearance
