Consultant/Senior Consultant, Operational Transaction Services, Sydney


We are growing and we are looking for Consultants and Senior Consultants who want to build a career in Management Consulting / Transaction Advisory.

Operational Transaction Services (OTS) is a dedicated team with over 50 Management Consultants within EY’s Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) division that help clients achieve their strategic objectives in acquisitions and divestments.


We cover a wide range of operational aspects in a transaction, including synergy assessments, integration planning and post-merger integration, separation readiness and support, operational due diligence and transaction project management. With an unrivalled track record in the industry, you will have the opportunity to be a part of Oceania's most interesting transactions.


Your key responsibilities

  • Developing and presenting key deliverables to clients
  • Identifying key client risks and issues, and mitigating these ahead of time
  • Analysing and evaluating a company’s financials
  • Acting as a point of contact to our client
  • Reporting directly to Managers, Senior Managers, Directors and Partners
  • Supporting in business development activities
  • Collaborating widely with the broader TAS division and EY

We seek people with the following experience:

  • 1 - 4 years of experience in Professional Services, Management Consulting, M&A or related corporate experience
  • Transaction or organisational transformation experience is a plus, such as pre-deal transaction support, commercial and operational due diligence, synergy assessment, post-merger integration or separation support and benefits realisation

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Problem-solving skills, curiosity and creative thinking
  • Ability to research companies and industries, synthesising and analysing a large set of qualitative and quantitative data
  • Ability to determine risks and opportunity areas
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with experience in delivering high-quality reports and presentations
  • Adept at building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and clients
  • Driven, but with high EQ and low ego
  • Proficient at Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and other research tools
  • Flexible with occasional travel requirements of client projects
