Aurecon’s Energy and Resources team based in Perth considers itself a key player in the future delivery of transmission and distribution assets. The team is primarily responsible for the provision of design and design management services required to support the planning, scoping, estimating and delivery of a wide range of project types Australia-wide

The Role:

This role is ideally suited to a mid-career Electrical Engineer and role to include:

  • Conduct detailed design and prepare deliverables such as technical reports including statutory submissions, scope of work documents, material lists, cable schedules, detailed design drawings, equipment specifications, inspection test plans and/or reports for the client.
  • Perform equipment inspections and ensure compliance with Australian and client standards.
  • Interface with the Client on a regular basis.
  • Undertake hands-on installation and commissioning on site where required.
  • Perform as part of a larger multi-disciplinary design team and contribute to design reviews.
  • Responsible for delivery of relevant areas of project within proposed deadlines and budgets.
  • Undertake site inspections and associated reporting, in accordance with relevant OH&S practises.
  • Provide support to Design Managers when liaising with clients and contractors in relation to project objectives and targets on technical issues and problem resolution.
  • Share knowledge with and support junior engineers.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable desire to progress their career in a technically driven multidisciplinary setting, and hold:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or similar discipline
  • Upwards of 5 years’ relevant experience
  • Primary & secondary distribution design, site installation & commissioning, system studies and earthing design experience considered preferable
  • Proven communication, team working and technical report writing skills
