About Us

In NSW & ACT, four people are diagnosed with diabetes every hour.

Diabetes NSW & ACT is a member-based charity dedicated to people living with, or at risk of, diabetes. We support a growing community of nearly 50,000 members and administer the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS) to more than 430,000 people living with diabetes in NSW and the ACT.

Our priority is their health and well being. We support them to better live their lives by running over 700 events each year, providing education and information services, a dedicated helpline and community networks.

Duties

The Role

Reporting to the Access Point Compliance Officer, your focus will be on providing a high level of support to the Pharmacy network around NSW and to our co-ordinators around the NSW region. You will be involved in the Assessment of new applications to join our pharmacy network as well as any changes to existing pharmacies such as Change of Name, Ownership or locating, always ensuring they are compliant with the National Diabetes Services scheme guidelines. Another key part of the role will be supporting the auditing process of our current pharmacy network and answering general enquiries, both via email and phone.

What are we looking for in our ideal candidate?

  • Previous experience working, with, and interpreting complex contracts, ideally in a role with Compliance related duties and responsibilities
  • Strong administration and organisation skills, with the ability to work to strict deadlines and juggle a number of balls at once!
  • Attention to detail will be one of your areas of strength
  • A customer focus, with a can do attitude and a passion for continuous improvement
  • A solid understanding of the Microsoft Office suite as well as other Customer Relationship Management Systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics would be a bonus!)

Please note that this role is a 2 year maximum term contract until 30 June 2020, which is end of our current government funding agreement.
