Senior Analyst - M&A Tax

About the role

Our M&A team support clients across a range of tax issues. As a Senior Analyst in M&A tax you will work in a fast-paced and exciting environment where you will assist the team to provide specialist taxation advice on cross-border and domestic investments and transactions, including acquisition and vendor due diligence and structuring, holding and financing structures, private equity fund structuring, capital market transactions and IPOs, business restructuring and major infrastructure investments. You will be responsible for drafting client advice and due diligence reports, conducting primary research and analysis and reviewing share purchase agreements.

Dealing with complex and challenging areas, including deal value tax impacts, financing arrangements, consolidations, tax rollovers, tax treaties, earn-out and deferred consideration arrangements and profit repatriation; you will develop experience across a wide range of industry and market segments and will work with top tier clients.

As a Senior Analyst, your role will also be to develop, coach and motivate junior members of our team.

About you

Ideally you are currently a Senior Analyst within another top or mid-tier accounting or top tier legal firm in the international tax, M&A or corporate tax areas. A degree in Accounting or Law is essential. Masters of Tax/Law or CA, with previous international tax, M&A or infrastructure tax experience will be highly regarded.

You will have strong commercial awareness, with the ability to think strategically and work effectively with clients and other advisers, coupled with strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
