Senior Account Manager

About the opportunity:

Deloitte are looking for an Account Manager to join our fabulous team in Melbourne. You will be brought in to provide a distinct, client-centric account management service for a strategically important client or group of clients. You will work closely with Lead Client Service Partner and Client Services Team members on a wide-range of relationship and revenue enhancing initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

About the work:

The role will involve the following:

  • Facilitating and contributing to planning workshops, managing the planning cycle and generating innovative account plans.
  • Tracking progress on, and reporting against account plans.
  • Supporting in the overall management of opportunity pipelines, including trend analysis
  • Developing a deep understanding of clients, industries and the competitive landscape
  • Developing and implementing an account plan and an account development which maximises opportunities for revenue growth
  • Developing, maintaining and executing tailored tactics to support important BD activities
  • Working with the wider team to drive account activities in a co-ordinated, consistent fashion.

About you:

You will ideally have:

  • Sales experience with a good technical ability around selling and converting opportunities
  • Coaching experience / influencing without authority
  • The ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • The ability to secure the trust and professional respect of others.
  • Demonstrable experience in account management, operating within and preferably managing a complex client service team.
  • Market management understanding and experience (strategy planning, execution, campaign management, reporting etc).
