Restructuring & Corporate Insolvency Manager (Tasmania based)

This role will be based in Tasmania (we are open to Hobart or Launceston).

Deloitte Restructuring is Australia’s leading fully integrated national practice providing insolvency, contingency planning, financial restructuring and turnaround advisory services to businesses, capital providers and the public sector.

Our business is about capital at risk, where it has been poorly used or market conditions have not been conducive to success. Sometimes that capital is merely underperforming other times it will be facing serious crisis.

Whether we are advising the providers of capital or the management whose job it is to deliver a return, our job is to help our clients face this risk and make the best decisions to protect and recover value whether it be through turning around operations, restructuring a balance sheet or by leading through a an insolvency process to effect a restructure or protect stakeholder interests.

As part of our national growth, our Tasmanian Restructuring Services team, which works closely with our Victorian team, has grown significantly. We are now looking for an innovative Manager to join our Tasmanian based team to provide exceptional service to a wide range of clients.

About You

The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a Big 4 professional services firm or a boutique insolvency specialist.

You will be able to demonstrate;

  • Ideally at least 3-4 years of insolvency/restructuring experience OR 5-6 years of other professional services experience
  • Investigation and report writing abilities
  • Some exposure to voluntary administrations, court liquidations and members’ and creditors’ voluntary liquidations is essential
  • Experience with restructuring advisory including report writing for lenders
  • Strong attention to detail with a pro-active and results orientated mind-set
  • Ability to balance multiple engagements and responsibilities while providing exceptional client service
  • Post-graduate qualification is preferred (e.g. CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA)
