Financial Process, Reporting & Governance Analyst

What are we looking for?

We are currently looking for a strong Analyst-level who has an understanding of Financial systems, reconciliations, status tracking, billing, budgeting and financial analysis seeking to raise their personal profile and augment career pathway at Deloitte.

You will have the ability to pro-actively consolidate financials (budgets, revenue, and billing) from multiple sources, regularly work with Partners and Directors to capture their costs and forecasts, escalate to executive leadership when necessary and share/celebrate best practices with the rest of the firm.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to have an impact with the wide A&A business with exposure to diverse methodologies and tools, senior thought leadership, spearhead long-term financial change and have the freedom to ‘think outside the box’ in solving financial challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting engagements across A&A in budget planning, financial management, consolidation and review of actuals with insights
  • Report to executive leadership and partners on upcoming engagement budget readiness with recommendations on improvements
  • Introduce controls and reporting from ground-up to inform executive decision making
  • Action adjustments/closures/transfers/billing via standard workflow in timely fashion with follow-up
  • Nurture robust working relationship with Deloitte Financial Controllers and Operating Unit Leaders
  • Design, build, launch and iterate innovate solutions to meet business needs and change behaviours
  • Leverage tools and report generation to capture scope variations
  • Establish strong relationships with senior engagement members to enhance code value and delivery

  • Numerical/accounting or finance degree qualified
  • Experience of a financial environment – systems and processes is beneficial
  • Objective and inquisitive mindset – not afraid to question status quo and ask “why?”
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills – Excel and Powerpoint ideally
  • Reporting & insight with commentary capabilities
  • Conversational attitude and personable
  • Comfortable with process, collating tasks and chasing inputs from people
  • Drive to understand and research information with high degree of accuracy
