About the opportunity:

Our Consulting practice is expanding rapidly and we are looking to speak with experienced Director level candidates to assist with strengthening our Consulting practice delivery capability, capacity and competency.

About the work:

The candidate will join our team responsible for delivery excellence, quality and risk across the Consulting practice. This team focuses on the following areas:

  • Assessing and advising on the Firm’s largest and most complex proposals and projects.
  • Mitigating risks associated with priority engagements, determining the commercial considerations and developing contractual constructs that both facilitates the execution of the work as well as protects the Firm.
  • Building-up of our client engagement capabilities, facilitating the deployment and adoption of enabling methods, tools and processes for the delivery of our services via standard approaches.
  • Managing our portfolio of investments in new products, services and innovations.
  • Regional and cross business collaboration.

Responsibilities:

The role will be the lead and primary point of contact between the Service Area Leaders and our team for allocated portfolios.

Acting as the principal business partner and trusted advisor for delivery excellence, quality and risk related matters to the Consulting Executive, Service Area Leaders, Engagement Partners and Senior Directors, Typical activities include:

  • Leading portfolio governance meetings with Service Area Leads to identify focus areas for support
  • Working with the business to identify required engagement governance frameworks
  • Onboarding Lateral Hire Partner

Providing guidance on delivery excellence, commercial, quality and risk related matters for major opportunities and priority engagements throughout the project lifecycle. Typical activities include:

  • Undertake QA review of SOW and Proposals for high value and complex engagements, as required
  • Identifying emerging issues and trends as relevant to the portfolio
  • Providing practical advice on resolution and facilitate “back on track” processes

Proactive collaboration and engagement with other teams within the Deloitte Consulting ecosystem, such as the project delivery teams, Pursuit Centre of Excellence, Legal, Commercial etc. Typical activities include:

  • Working with Legal, Commercial and the business to shape and finalise compliance tables and agreements
  • Supporting investments in capability (new services and products, strategic alliances, transactions and lateral hires)
  • Providing advice and guidance on due diligence, contract development and negotiation, on-boarding etc.,
  • Evaluation and improvement of business wide service excellence frameworks, tools and processes

  • Proven ability to work in or adapt to a large scale global professional services or consulting business.
  • Large scale $million+ strategic sourcing, contract and performance management experience.
  • Solid acumen in relation to service excellence, commercial negotiations, quality assurance and risk management constructs
