Consultant - Technology Architecture - TS&I - Canberra


Our Technology, Strategy & Transformation (TS&T) team, is at the forefront of technology and innovation to help our clients imagine their business, solve the most complex business and technology problems and help them accelerate their transformational journey. We are currently hiring experienced Enterprise Architects with both strategic and technology expertise at the Consultant, Senior Consultant and Manager grades within our Public Sector & Defence practice in Canberra.

Our team is responsible for answering the most challenging client problems: how can Technology strategy enable a business to deliver outcomes; how do we select and design technology to enable growth; how do we structure their enterprise and domain architecture functions; how to solve complex business and technology problems; and how to execute technology-led transformations.

We assist our clients in formulating their vision, developing target architectures and transformation roadmaps that support their business strategies. It is within our culture to bring points of view on emerging technology trends to help clients imagine what is possible (for instance - points of view on Blockchain, Next Generation Telco, Big Data, Cloud, Internet of Things, Machine Learning, Connected Vehicle, Future of Government) whilst being able to translate advice into actionable and practicable steps .

Technology Strategy & Innovation

Your role
Your role will be to deliver client engagements and to support business development activities, both internal and external, depending on your project requirements. Please note that you are not required to perform all the activities listed below.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Develop enterprise architecture blueprints including at the application, information, integration, infrastructure and security domains to help deliver our client’s strategy
  • Work with business and technology stakeholders to define the roadmap and initiatives to support our client’s strategy and vision
  • Support the client in selecting the right technology stack for their organisation including both transition and target states
  • Provide technical assurance to a complex technology-enabled transformation programme
  • Supporting government clients in setting up their enterprise architecture function, operating model, principles, process, deliverables, architecture modelling tool and governance structure
  • Helping government organisations define their application strategy and develop a coherent approach to manage and rationalise the application landscape and help streamline technology operations

Your professional experience
We are looking for practising and aspiring enterprise architects preferably with the following skills and experience.

Please note that you are not required to have all that are listed below.

  • Between one to ten years working within Technology
  • Proven technical problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in one or more architecture domains (business, solution, application, information, integration, infrastructure and security) either acting as a team member or leading teams
  • The ability to communicate complex technical subjects effectively to a business audience
  • A keen interest in technology and how this can be applied to solve business challenges
  • Good business acumen and interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Ability to integrate and influence teams and colleagues
  • Commitment to travel to client locations
  • Applicants should hold an Australian Baseline Security Clearance or higher (or be able to obtain one)
