Client Consulting Analytics – Senior Analyst


About the role
The MIS analytics Senior Analyst is responsible for providing real solutions to business problems for MIS clients (distributors and dealerships). This is a critical role that bridges the business user’s requirements and the data science offerings.

This role is responsible for:

  • Developing advanced business intelligence to understand trends in Deloitte eProfitfocus and client data by segment, by geography and by brand.
  • Creating usable datasets by combining eProfitfocus reports with client data, ABS data and other relevant datasets.
  • Identifying and presenting client opportunity in an informative way to ensure clients get an actionable plan that generates engagement.
  • Assisting dealers to prepare and achieve their strategic planning requirements.
  • Analysing multiple datasets to identify trends and clusters that can be exploited by the business.
  • Preparing insightful presentations, proposals and reports for communicating technical analysis to layman users.
  • Assisting clients gain market intelligence

About your experience
To be considered for this position your skills and experience will include:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a strategy or commercial environment
  • Extensive experience in performance analysis – understanding the role/impact of KPIs, channel, pricing, product, competitors and profitability
  • Experience developing executive grade presentations, management summaries, insights and recommendations
  • Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal, relationship building and negotiation skills as well as the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at different levels
  • Resilient in nature and ability to prioritise and manage personal workload with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage workload in a high pressure environment and deal with ambiguity

About our team
The MIS (Motor Industry Services) Analytics team supports automotive clients in Australia and New Zealand, by providing professional services in the areas of business optimisation consulting, profit improvement opportunities, training and best practice operations, retail analytics; and strategy and risk analytics.

ProfitFocus is a web-based management reporting system for motor dealers designed to collect financial and operational data. This information is collected from 1000 dealers across Asia Pacific in a uniform format that provides users with the ability to review business performance across dealerships, brands and locations. The ProfitFocus Reporting team is responsible for supporting the users of the benchmarking system as well as supporting the other Training, Consulting & Dealer Group teams within ProfitFocus in delivering their services.
