About our team


Our Assurance & Advisory (A&A) practice is a national team of 900 people committed to delivering attest and accounting services to some of Australia's biggest listed, global multinational and government clients. Our Accounting Technical team comprises a range of specialists delivering practical advice and solutions to our clients in relation to the application of IFRS and the financial reporting requirements of the Corporations Act 2001.

Our Assurance & Advisory practice has experienced significant growth in both the size and the complexity of our audit client base over recent years. As a result, we are looking for a Senior Analyst based in Sydney to focus on these issues.

About the role


As a Senior Analyst, you will work to ensure our audit teams receive seamless service in the resolution of accounting technical issues, and will have direct exposure and responsibility for communicating with clients on technical matters.

You will assist in the development of accounting technical tools and publications, facilitate and coach audit teams, as well as provide mentoring and coaching to junior team members and manage internal client relationships on a day to day basis.

You will be expected to challenge the status quo, apply original thought and, as a result, play an integral role in designing and developing solutions for our audit practice. About your experience Superb accounting technical skills, an ability to work in an unstructured, rapidly changing environment, an ability to lead others and communicate complex concepts in an understandable manner as well as a passion for continuous learning & improvement are essential attributes to be successful in this role.

As Chartered Accountant with a big four background in audit and accounting, you will possess the following attributes:

  • Superb technical IFRS skills and applied experience
  • Ability to build strong client relationships
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify, scope and solve problems
  • Strong project management skills with a proven ability to execute under pressure
  • Able to work autonomously in an unstructured environment
  • Experienced in leading and developing teams
  • Natural thirst for knowledge and continuous learning and improvement.
