Credit Analyst

You will work in the Credit Department which is the credit custodian of Macquarie Group, working closely and engaging in ongoing dialogue with senior management and deal teams across all business units to identify relevant credit issues.

Reporting directly to the Division Director, you will use your knowledge and experience of credit and financial services to deliver sound Credit Risk due diligence, analysis and preparation of credit submissions for Bank, Insurance and Fund counterparties to establish credit limits. Additionally, you will be reviewing and analysing trading counterparties and transactions to ensure they are well structured, meet appropriate return hurdles and that risk appetite is appropriately determined. You will also have active and collaborative engagement with businesses to identify, measure and manage counterparty, trading and documentation risk as well as prepare accurate and rigorous written analysis, presenting and making recommendations to senior management.

You will be a motivated professional who has developed strong Credit analysis skills and ideally have a good working knowledge of banks and financial institutions. Additionally, you will bring a strong interest in Risk management and Capital Markets, with a good understanding of trading documentation, and Master Repurchase Agreements. Lastly, you will be competent in self-direction and working within a fluid environment, with the ability to meet deadlines and thrive under pressure.
