Cost Controller

As Cost Controller on one of Aurecon’s major projects you will be tasked with managing and reporting on the project effort and cost expenditure, monitoring and reporting on actual progress and developing accurate cost and effort to complete forecasts.  This role will see you working closely with Commercial and Project Managers to assist them in managing the project to the cost and effort requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day to day management of all effort and cost controls systems.
  • Establish project WBS and effort budgets in PRISM
  • Manage changes to WBS, project fees and effort budgets due to variations.
  • Interface with PFCs at both Aurecon and at JV partners on various matters
  • Responsible for the weekly updating of effort in to PRISM.
  • Responsible for the development and reporting of monthly forecast effort to complete in PRISM and actual progress.
  • Providing input to the monthly programme update to reflect actual progress against programme.
  • Production of weekly cost reporting and productivity information
  • Provide monthly Revenue Recognition advice
  • Accountable for project controls software tools and managing the PFAs

Applications are welcome from those demonstrating:

  • Experience in developing & executing the project controls on large and complex projects
  • Expert PRISM user particularly PRISM cost and Prism Engineering modules
  • Exposure to use of Industry standard project management tools including Primavera P6, Excel
  • Proven organisational and management skills cultivated in a fast-paced project environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly across all levels; verbal and written
  • A flair for engaging with a diverse group of stakeholders
