Procurement Manager - HR - 12 month contract

The Enterprise Procurement & Partnerships (EPP) team supports the Commbank Group to deliver leading practice procurement.

The Category Manager Professional Services position sits within the Professional Services procurement category team. It contributes toward the team achieving its goal of becoming a commercial enabler to the business units with which they are aligned. This will be achieved through strategic thinking, investing in relationships, working with stakeholders to co- develop and execute consistently on agreed strategies and plans which are aligned with the goals of the business.

The Professional Services team manage a portfolio of categories including recruitment, learning & development, legal, medical and employment services.

Do work that matters:

The role reports to the Portfolio Manager, Professional Services Procurement.

The Category Manager Professional Services is responsible for supporting and co-managing procurement activities across a designated portfolio, including operational support and sourcing activities.

Within the broader Professional Services category the Category Manager manages activities including Stakeholder Relationship Management, Development of Procurement Strategies, Business Analytics, Sourcing Management, Contract & Supplier Management, and Risk & Compliance.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
  • Sufficient professional procurement experience. Human Resources or Consulting category experience highly desirable.
  • Sound understanding of the end to end procurement lifecycle.
  • Ability to deliver in a highly complex and ambiguous environment and to thrive in a large team environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Curious thinker, attention to detail and strong focus on continuous improvement.
  • High degree of problem solving and decision-making ability
  • Strong commercial acumen, ability to see the “bigger picture” and vision to align with
