Analyst Portfolio Analytics and Visualisation


The Portfolio Analytics and Visualisation (PAV) function in the Risk Analytics & Reporting team is responsible for identifying and creating key data assets, reports, analytics and insights which are used for portfolio monitoring and risk assurance purposes on an ongoing basis. 

You will join a high performing, agile and high profile team and assist in building an analytics and insights centre of excellence within Risk Management.

You will support the RBS Risk CRO and the RBS Risk Leadership team with insights and analytics both bespoke and scheduled for their responses to regulators, board, market and external investors.

In addition to the above, you will proactively drive the development of data-driven and advanced analytical processes to help drive PAV to be the centre of excellence for risk analytics.

Your skills and experience: 

  • Tertiary qualification in a numerate degree preferably in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Statistics, Finance, Business, Accounting, Actuarial and other related degrees (desirable)
  • Prior Risk Management or data/analytics experience highly regarded
  • Familiarity with the following analytic tools: Tableau, R, SQL, SAS and Excel
  • Strong experience in working with data (e.g. extraction, manipulation, merging, validation)
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to identify root cause and break down complex technical concepts and explain them to a diverse audience
  • Confident in constructively challenging the status quo in order find improved ways of doing things.
