Head of Payable and Receivables

This role is reporting Australia and New Zealand Core Cash Product Head, with the responsibility being the leadership of the Payables and Receivables business across Australia and New Zealand.  This includes to day-to-day management of the team with ownership end-to-end of product processes, ownership of product P&L, MIS and regulatory reporting, vendor management, risk & control, and continuous enhancement of product capabilities across Australia and New Zealand. You will work closely with local stakeholders including but not limited to Operations, Technology, Relationship Managers, Sales, Legal, Compliance and Regional / Global product colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute on the Payables and Receivables strategy for AU/NZ in conjunction with global and regional partners
  • Ownership and Leadership – Act as a steward of the business and strongly influence its strategy and market leadership as a key business member of the regional and global team.
  • Be an ambassador and advocate for Citi with clients, partners, and at industry forums to continue to drive Citi’s recognition as the largest and best in class. 
  • Maintain leading edge expertise of the industry and regional competitive environment.
  • Support complex cash management deals end-to-end including RFP responses and client pitches, recommending innovative Payables and Receivables solutions.
  • Develop a Client focus strategy for all key clients and sub sector targets.  Identify new flows and market plays for the extension of TTS Payables and Receivables products.
  • Control and Compliance – Maintain a pristine control environment for all issues related to business management, compliance, regulatory requirements
  • 10+ years in Financial Services
  • 7+ years in Transaction Banking
  • In-depth knowledge of Payables and Receivables products, industry and target clients
  • Strong marketing and selling skills & customer service orientation
  • Experience in a large, multi-national financial services firm and matrix organizational structure preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership success
  • Strong risk mindset
  • Good understanding of industry legislative and compliance regime
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
