Head of Business Planning and Analysis O&T


Description

This position will be leading a team of finance professionals supporting the O&T senior management through financial and strategic planning, identifying productivity and cost saving initiatives, driving performance, and delivering financial results. This role will be partnering with the O&T, ICG and GCB leadership teams. The position will also be fully engaged in coordinating the monthly close, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting processes, in partnership with key departments such as Controllers and Financial Planning & Analysis.

  • Responsible for managing the $200MM+ operating expenses for O&T, including ICG O&T, GCB O&T, Enterprise O&T, and Regional/Global allocations
  • Lead the monthly outlook and annual budget processes in alignment with the overall O&T strategy,  partnering with Country/Regional FP&A teams
  • Oversee the month end close process, and the analysis of actuals vs outlook, annual plan and prior years actuals
  • Partner with O&T senior management team by providing insightful analytic s to drive performance improvement and identify productivity and cost savings initiatives
  • Provide support on various business analysis processes, including capacity planning, verifying potential cost savings, unit costing and activity-based costing
  • Responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of the O&T allocation methodology to the front office
  • Prepare key presentations for senior management on financials, performance metrics, initiatives and strategies
  • Involvement in investment projects including reviewing the business cases and managing the technology spend
  • Identify and resolve risk and control issues in a timely manner
  • Support Head of O&T on any other financial related ad hoc matters
  • Mentoring and coaching the team through knowledge-sharing, providing guidance on professional development

The position also has responsibility for the governance and oversight of the Business and Travel Shared Services {BTSS} and Executives Services {ES} Operations.

BTSS has responsibility for mail distribution, printing services as well as archiving services and switchboard.

Executive Services (ES) provides client-facing and internal support services that are strategically aligned with Citi's business requirements. Through centralized management of these services, we aim to accelerate innovation, drive consistent global customer experiences, reduce costs and deliver value to Citi.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • CA/CPA Qualified preferred.
  • Ideally 10+ years’ experience with banking/corporate background.
  • Articulate, confident, & effective communicator (written & verbal).
  • Superior Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • High energy levels able to meet tight deadlines and manage flexible working hours.
  • Inquisitive with strong analytical & problem solving skills, including process improvement initiatives.
  • Professional & maintains discretion for confidential work.
