We are seeking an experienced and strategically minded digital communications professional to work in Citi’s Sydney office, reporting in to the Head of Corporate Affairs for Australia and New Zealand. The position has no direct reports under it, but will work in close partnership with the rest of the Citi Corporate Affairs team and key internal stakeholders.

The Digital Communications Manager will work with the Head of Corporate Affairs and the lines of business on developing a digital communications strategy for Citi in Australia and NZ. The person will have primary responsibility for social media and for digital aspects of our internal and external communications.

They will have sole responsibility for developing a digital content strategy across the Australia & NZ franchise and will work closely with digital banking and marketing teams in the consumer business around external consumer campaigns.

Key Accountabilities

The role has the following accountabilities in conjunction with other team members:

  • Work with the Head of Corporate Affairs to develop and implement an integrated digital communications strategy that supports the business.
  • Work with regional and global social media teams to ensure compliance with Citi's global policies.
  • Monitor and analyse our digital channels, including social media, websites (internal and external) and other digital media and use the results to improve their effectiveness.
  • Improve the usability and of Citi’s franchise-level websites and be responsible for content, working with other Corporate Affairs members

Technical Competency Requirements

  • There is a strong focus on providing advisory support for senior management which requires being comfortable working with the most senior levels of management.
  • Previous communications experience, must include Financial Services
  • Strong understanding of both traditional and social media
  • Exceptional written skills
