The purpose of the Compliance Officer is to support the Independent Compliance Risk Management Consumer businesses in Australia by providing regulatory guidance and compliance advice on Citi policies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing local regulatory guidance to businesses as well as Compliance advice on Citi Policies
  • Ensuring the regulatory change process is effectively managed, and that changes are socialized effectively with relevant stakeholders
  • Provide prompt, accurate and high quality Compliance updates to the Australia Compliance Lead for input in Country governance forums and local and regional reporting
  • Liaise with Business and Risk teams to ensure timely reporting to regulators
  • Analyze Regulatory issues and ensure corrective actions designed by Business are sustainable, appropriate and effective

Key skills and experiences required:

  • 3+ years financial services compliance experiences
  • An comprehensive understanding of consumer regulation i.e. National Credit Act, ASIC regulatory guidelines, Privacy Act, Code of Banking Practice, Corporations Act
  • Experience dealing with regulatory enquiries, particularly ASIC
  • Experience in dealing with complex complaints


  • Tertiary education in related field would be preferred
