Cbus’ highly successful Investment team is growing rapidly, with funds under management, the percentage of funds managed internally, and the size of the Investments team set to almost double over 5 years. Our newly created Strategy & Innovation function reports to the CIO, shapes the strategic direction of the Investment function, leads the development of strategic and innovative initiatives for Investments, and forges and maintains strategic partnerships with like-minded global investors to improve investment outcomes.
You will be an integral member of the Strategy & Investment Innovation team responsible for providing support in the development of strategic and innovative initiatives for the ‘business of investing’. You will take an active role in all aspects of an initiative – identifying issues; formulating hypotheses; planning and conducting interviews and analysis; and synthesising findings into recommendations. You will present your recommendations both verbally and in reports to internal stakeholders and collaborate with your colleagues to promote adoption.
To be successful in this role you will solid investment industry experience and have demonstrated an ability to structure, analyse and solve complex problems. You will have strong quantitative skills, experience in financial modelling, and a clear attention to detail. You will take initiative, have the ability to supervise and develop more junior colleagues, and interact credibly with senior stakeholders. Applicants with a post graduate qualification (Masters or CFA) and/or top tier consulting (asset, investment or strategy) experience will be well regarded.
Tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce, economics or a related discipline with excellent academic transcripts is necessary.
