Beca Water now consists of over 120 water industry engineering, design and project management specialists and is one of the largest specialised water teams operating across Asia Pacific. We have demonstrated a commitment to excellence, sustained growth and successful project completion.

We provide services to a broad range of water industry clients, including Melbourne Water, South East Water, and Western Water, and with a large project portfolio we are looking to expand our capabilities of our Melbourne based team. You will have the chance to work in a highly collaborative team that is focussed on creating a culture of creativity and innovation, developing long-term client relationships and empowering the success of our people

The Opportunity


As our team go from strength to strength we are looking for junior Mechanical Engineer with at least two years’ professional experience to join us. This Melbourne based role will see you:-

  • Assume responsibility and undertake engineering tasks of increasing scope and complexity under the close direction and guidance of senior staff
  • Contributing to the analysis of information, production of design, tenders and proposals
  • Actively work towards professional certification / registration
  • Assisting in the preparation of documentation with work completed accurately and to target standards
  • Increasing your knowledge of business and operations including budget and revenue expenditure
  • Demonstrating effective communication, presentation, networking and consulting skills

About you


You will have a mechanical engineering degree and professional experience in a similar consulting or utility environment in pipeline, hydraulics and pump station design. You will have the natural ability to build wide and effective networks of contacts inside and outside of the organisation. Strong experience with AutoCAD and Plant 3D will be highly regarded.
