Our Digital group of professional services & consulting specialists have demonstrated their ongoing commitment to delivering innovation, solution excellence and successful project outcomes for our clients globally. Due to strategic plans to add value to our Digital Engineering service offering in Industry 4.0 technology advancements, we are seeking an experienced BIM/Digital Engineering Manager to support our business in the next phase of our success story


Based in our vibrant and growing Melbourne office, you will deliver and mange BIM across large or multiple projects. You will be an experienced client-facing Digital Engineering / BIM consultant with the responsibility to lead and deliver optimal digital technology solutions and partner with our clients to successfully drive their business outcomes.


About You


This senior-level digital engineering position will facilitate Beca’s transition from traditional CAD practices and deliverables into an integrated BIM design practice.

You will be a problem solver with a strong passion and knowledge about BIM, technology and its application through Asset Lifecycle. Furthermore, you will be client focused with effective team leadership and excellent communications skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Digital Engineering / BIM advisory services, project management and training
  • Develop, implement and manage BIM across large or multiple projects
  • Lead and develop BIM Coordinators on multiple projects
  • Lead or contribute to BIM / Digital Engineering projects and implementation
  • Contribute towards the achievement of revenue, utilisation and productivity targets
  • Build effective relationships with other Beca teams and stakeholders
  • Implement, manage and execute relevant BIM / Digital Engineering processes
  • Implement a common data environment in digital model-based Program and planning workflow;

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Preferred 10 years' experience with various digital engineering platforms in an engineering environment is essential.
  • Preferred 5 years' experience in the use of and managing BIM in a digital built environment will be highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and meeting delivery requirements.
  • Strong Leader with excellent interpersonal skills, who is able to work with and support staff.
  • Client focused (both internal and external clients).
  • Experience in implementing BIM / Digital Engineering on projects
  • Knowledge of current Digital Engineering software solutions such as Revit, Civil 3D, 12D, Forge Platform, Navisworks
  • Knowledge of collaboration platforms such as Projectwise, 360 Docs, Aconex, C4R, Revizto, etc.
  • Understanding of BIM processes and standards (e.g. BS1192, PAS1192 suite)
  • Knowledge of integration between Asset Management Systems, BIM, and GIS.
  • Knowledge of VR and AR technologies
  • Possess relevant qualifications - Diploma in engineering, construction or architecture preferred
