Parts of Australia are experiencing unprecedented bushfire activity.

Since July 2019, Red Cross teams have responded to more than 20 bushfires and supported 18,600 people in 103 relief and evacuation centres through the efforts of more than 1,590 volunteers and staff.

  • 12 month maximum term position with the possibility to extend an additional 12 months
  • Full time - 38 hours per week
  • Based in Adelaide, SA

What you will do

Join us in this senior role within Emergency Services, supporting the team of Recovery Project Officers and amazing volunteers on the ground delivering our Recovery and Preparedness programs.

You will be responsible for the development and delivery of evidence based models of emergency recovery services and preparedness programs in South Australia.

What you will bring

  • Extensive experience in emergency management and/or community leadership
  • Sound understanding of emergency preparedness, response and recovery arrangements
  • High level developed oral and written communication skills, including public speaking

A Working with Children Check and current driver’s licence are mandatory requirements of this role
