The Strategy, People and Performance team provide a support function for the organisation to increase organisational effectiveness, efficiency and performance.

About the role

The Head of Strategy and Performance will lead Red Cross in the pursuit of sector excellence in:

  • outcome and impact measurement
  • program quality and evaluation
  • the use of data to drive performance and decision-making
  • research and insights
  • strategic planning, integrated business planning and budgeting

Responsible for influencing and driving the organisation, up to and including executive and board level, this role will focus on ensuring strategic execution and that Red Cross is a future-proofed organisation.

The Head of Strategy and Performance will lead data analytics capability to drive improved organisational decision making, delivery of transparency in reporting and ensure that we can clearly demonstrate the impact of Red Cross work in communities.

What you will bring

  • Extensive leadership experience and subject matter expertise in evidence based outcome, impact measurement and strategic planning
  • Demonstrated leadership and successful delivery of sector-wide or national research
  • Proven track record in leading data analytics capability to drive improved organisational decision making and performance at a whole of organisation level
  • Extensive experience in leading in an ambiguous and complex environment with strong business acumen
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with significant experience in negotiation, resolving conflict, influencing and inspiring change at executive levels within an organisation
  • Be highly adaptive, resilient, decisive and apply creative future focussed thinking whilst demonstrating sound evidence based judgement
