Technical Director/ Associate Mechanical Engineer- Data Centres

About the role:

Our Buildings division across Australia is renowned for delivering highly valued technical solutions for Data Centres and other mission critical infrastructure and our team are currently working on some of the largest projects across the country and overseas in this area.

In order to continually drive our success in this market, we are seeking to engage a new Technical Director/ Associate Mechanical Engineer with a Data Centre specialisation who will take on a technical leadership role in our delivery of projects, engage with our existing client base and work closely alongside our other Buildings disciplines including Structures, Services & Sciences.

The responsibility of the position will include:

  • Leading design and advisory teams to deliver outstanding outcomes
  • Client account management
  • Collaborate with the Client Directors to ensure our Client & Work Winning Strategies are consistently implemented, strengthen our Client Experience
  • Engage regularly with the extended Buildings leadership team to facilitate strong collaboration and ensure we take the very best of Aurecon to all our Clients.
  • Taking a Project leader role, maintaining accountability for resourcing, timeliness, quality, risk management, project financial performance and scope management

We are looking for an inspiring leader who can demonstrate:

  • A strong technical and big picture view of data centre design and operations
  • The ability and willingness to deliver to a high level of technical documentation
  • Strong relationship and interpersonal skills - a strong collaborator, especially across state and country boundaries
  • Well-developed business and commercial acumen
  • Comfort to undertake technical training and impart knowledge to other engineers
