About the role:

Our Melbourne Energy, Resources and Manufacturing division has been undertaking a long term expansion throughout the last year.  As a part of this sustained growth, a new position has been created in our team for a Structural Engineer.  You will be given the opportunity to work within a strong, supportive team, deliver on a variety of technical outputs whilst also contributing to the success of a range of medium & large scale projects. 

Typically, our projects are spread throughout multiple states of Australia and as such a small amount of regular travel will also be required to meet clients and other project teams.

The requirements of the position will include:

  • Providing detailed design solutions and documentation of predominately steel and concrete structures for projects including:
    - Industrial structures and facilities
    - Renewable energy plants and substations
    - Materials handling and mining and quarry facilities
    - Heavy foundations
    - Condition Assessment and remediation works
  • Delivery of the Structural components of larger scale projects from inception to completion
  • Engaging and responding to clients in a timely fashion
  • Assist with the preparation of tender submissions and other work winning activities

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an experienced practitioner (2+ years minimum) who has:

  • Ability to manage the delivery of projects as well as work within teams which have both a strong local flavour but will also connect with professionals interstate & overseas
  • The ability to work alongside existing leaders, driving your own performance and working towards further mastery of your craft
  • Comfort and a willingness to grow the technical capability of early career professionals
  • Act as a mentor to more junior staff
