About the role:

With one of the strongest Transport & Infrastructure project portfolios in recent years, we are currently seeking applications from Senior Rail Design Engineer (Track and Civil), to be involved in a variety of rail projects across design and construction phases.  This will be offered as a permanent position based in our Docklands offices with a requirement to visit project offices & site as required.

What we are looking for

We are seeking design experienced professionals who is comfortable working in a diverse, complex and multi-disciplinary environment and can leverage from their previous design experience and contribute to projects from Day one.

From a technical perspective, you should be able to demonstrate experience in the some or all of the following:

  • Broad engineering and design experience in all facets of Track and Civil discipline, including track alignment design, track formation and earthworks and rail civil works including drainage, access pathways, and combined services routes.
  • Hold or be eligible for MTM Engineering and Design Track & Civil competency for Designer, Checker as a minimum with Independent Reviewer and Approver highly regarded.
  • Experience in leading design teams and developing junior team members is highly desirable
  • Understanding of MTM, V/Line, ARTC standards and design process requirements
  • Working knowledge of Bentley Rail Track and Microstation software
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, teamwork and self-motivation
  • Experience in complex rail projects in urban environments is highly desirable
  • Experience in liaison with clients, sub-consultants and contractors
