Senior Process Engineer - Water

We are currently growing our Wastewater and Water Treatment team in Australia and as a result, we are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to work within our Water group, based in Neutral Bay, Sydney.  As an integral member of the team your key accountability will be to deliver a growing number of projects, focusing around the design, modelling and process optimisation of water and wastewater treatment plants, including advanced nutrient removal facilities, membrane bioreactor design and biosoldis treatment.  It is also expected that, as a Senior Engineer, you will also have cross discipline industry management experience as well as a strong external client focus on a broad range of projects.

The Role

  • Concept and detailed process design of wastewater treatment plants (knowledge of Australian/NSW wastewater conditions preferred).
  • Ability to liaise professionally with both clients and local / state government authorities - Sound knowledge of local NSW clients and client organisations preferred (such as Sydney Water, Hunter Water)
  • Able to collaborate and work alongside internal teams from other offices around Australia
  • Self-starter able to lead a process design with support/review by process expert, able to develop work approaches/methodology for proposals.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • A passion to coach and mentor junior engineers within the team
  • Proven ability to deliver appropriate engineering solutions within a specified time frame
  • Knowledge of a specific technical competency relevant to your field

As a professional Chemical engineer, preferably Chartered, working towards Chartered or other professionally recognised status, you will be able to communicate ideas successfully and collaborate with clients and colleagues to achieve project delivery goals. 

As well as demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills, a strong customer focus to establish rapport and connect ideal solutions to meet client needs is also required.
