Senior Electrical Engineer

Aurecon has an impressive national Defence PDS work pipeline and a dedicated design hub focused on executing this work for the East Coast of Australia.  Aurecon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide complimentary design skills to this team within our Built Environment Unit in Brisbane.  You will be involved in the detailed design of electrical/communications services design such as lighting and power, electrical and communications buildings infrastructure, exit/emergency lighting, ICT / structured cabling systems, security, etc.  You will liaise with your internal Aurecon stakeholders as well as being client facing and lead / manage design projects on your own.  Multi-discipline project design experience considered an advantage.  AutoCAD or Revit skills will be recognised, but are not essential.

As well as self-motivation, excellent communication skills and a high attention to detail, we are seeking applicants who:

  • Have Australian citizenship or permanent residency
  • Possess a relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Can demonstrate experience in working within design teams and delivering design projects in a consultancy or client-side environment
  • Have experience with electrical software design packages such as AGI32, PowerCAD, or similar
  • Have proven ability to analyse and interpret information and provide innovative solutions
  • Manage client expectations and deliver projects to budget and programme
  • Have extensive experience of design and/or project management in the Built Environment or defence industry
  • Proactively deliver work independently as well as in teams with exceptional time management skills.
