Quality, Environment & Sustainability Practitioner

We are currently seeking a Quality, Environment & Sustainability (QES) Manager to join our Sydney office.  The role will report to the Quality, Environment & Sustainability Region Manager Australia/New Zealand in a supportive team environment.

Your key tasks will include:

  • Supporting the business in driving its quality, environmental and sustainability strategy, programmes, processes and obligations
  • Promoting environmental, quality and sustainability performance improvement and achievement of management system objectives and key performance indicators
  • Reporting on quality, environmental and sustainability deliverables and metrics
  • Undertaking internal and second party quality and environmental audits
  • Attending and supporting third party quality and environmental audits (e.g. ISO 9001, 14001, 17025 and 17020)
  • Upskilling of employees in quality and environmental management system knowledge through coaching and mentoring
  • Support to other locations within Australia and New Zealand as required
  • Participation in global quality, environmental and sustainability development programs as required
  • Assisting with managerial/administrative tasks

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Strong implementation/delivery focus with strategic outlook
  • Strong ability to build and develop relationships quickly
  • Strong influencing skills with an ability draw together disparate ideas and points of view
  • Strong service orientation with exceptional communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to inspire others
  • A university degree in relevant discipline
  • An auditor qualification in relevant management systems
  • 5+ years’ experience in the relevant field of expertise, largely gained in professional /engineering services environment
