Project Controls Specialist

Aurecon are looking to appoint a Project Controls Specialist (Planner/Cost Controller) to join our Brisbane office for a diverse range of projects within industries including Mining & Industrial, Infrastructure, Transport, Water, Defence and Energy.

The successful candidates will have the ability to rapidly absorb and understand projects whilst liaising directly with the internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the processes and systems are implemented in an accurate and timely manner.

As well as self-motivation, excellent communication skills, and a high attention to detail the successful applicant will have the following demonstrated skills, abilities or attributes:

  • Formal qualifications in an engineering, project management, construction or other relevant discipline
  • Knowledge and experience in planning/scheduling, cost control, earned valued management, change management and contract administration on large resources and infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, develop and maintain project delivery and project executions schedules in Primavera P6
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, monitor, control and report on project estimates, budgets, costs, forecasts and changes
  • Strong skills in Excel, Microsoft Project Online, PRISM G2 desirable
  • Proactive ability to deliver work independently as well as in teams with exceptional time management skills and an organised and structured approach to the tasks at hand
