HR Business Partner

We currently have an opportunity in our Sydney office for an experienced HR professional to join our team in the role of People Business Partner for a fixed term contract of approximately ten months.

Reporting to the People Leader - ANZ, the People Business Partner role is accountable for the delivery of People tactics and strategies, aligned to the growth, performance, productivity and engagement of Aurecon employees across New South Wales. An incredibly varied strategic role, you will partner closely with the Regional Director and Business Unit Leaders, as well as other senior leaders across the business to improve business capability and performance through effective HR advice.  The role will cover key areas such as strategic and business performance, succession planning, talent management and reward, employment relations, culture and change management, and will oversee local recruitment and talent development operations.

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • The implementation and embedding of the People Strategy and the use of your commercial and HR acumen to guide the region on its key people priorities 
  • Driving other key initiatives such as:
    • Talent management (high potential identification and planning, succession planning, talent development)
    • Reward and recognition
    • Diversity and inclusion 
    • Change leadership
    • Development of business leaders to drive a high performance culture
    • Coaching and mentoring of high potential employees and senior stakeholders
    • Driving the effective implementation of our Employee Experience strategy
  • Providing a client and stakeholder focussed People service
  • Ensuring appropriate employment relations practice is undertaken by the business
  • Leading, coaching and developing the local People team, including a Senior People Consultant who supports both operational delivery and strategy implementation
  • Working closely with a shared services People team in Manila to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness

The successful candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline, with demonstrated experience in a strategic business partnering role, ideally from within professional services. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential to success in this role, in addition to the ability to work within highly agile and collaborative teams to achieve strategic results.  It is incredibly important that you possess a pragmatic and energetic style, with the ability to achieve results through a strong service focus.
