About the role:

We have an opportunity for a skilled & influential practitioner to take on a newly created role as our Health & Safety Business Partner, Victoria and South Australia.  The position will have the predominant focus of rolling out our global H&S Strategy across the region, partnering closely with the Regional Director and her leadership team whilst also providing operational support to project teams within Aurecon’s offices and across client-owned project sites.

The requirements of the position will include:

  • Provide H&S guidance and management support to the broader Victorian & South Australian business.
  • Work with the Health & Safety leadership team to translate and localise the global H&S strategy in a regional framework and ensure its effective implementation across both locations.
  • Monitor compliance with H&S procedures through review and auditing programs in line with the regional H&S plans.
  • Prepare reports for internal and external management.
  • Form part of Aurecon global H&S team and perform corporate H&S projects as directed by the Head of Health and Safety

What we are looking for:

We’re looking for an experienced professional, degree qualified in H&S, Engineering or Business at a Diploma level or higher who can demonstrate:

  • Experience in an Engineering, Consulting, Construction or other heavy industry.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in the successful implementation and maintenance of H&S management systems.
  • Well-developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation and facilitation skills to maintain the current change process
  • Excellent skills in managing time, setting priorities, planning, communicating and organising.
  • Demonstrated ability to positively influence improved safety outcomes.
  • Strong internal and external customer service focus with experience in establishing a robust and strong H&S culture.
