About the role:

Having embraced the application of digital technologies to Aurecon’s finance processes, with the adoption of automation and data visualisation technologies, the Finance Performance & Analysis Leader will be integral in further championing the digital agenda and centre of transformation initiatives, creating opportunities for efficiencies, deeper insights and business value over the long term.

Focusing on digital innovation and moving to more of a “problem finder” mentality, the Finance Performance & Analysis Leader will play a key role working with Group Finance, Regional Finance teams and Business Leaders to lead the development and implementation of strategic and operational finance plans and provide astute judgement and insight to ensure the achievement of business goals.

This permanent, leadership position reports to the Group Head of Reporting and is located at our Melbourne office.

The requirements of the position will include:

  • Lead the cyclical financial planning and forecasting program across whole of Aurecon, working with Group Finance and Regional CFO’s.
  • Developing models with the application of digital technologies and predictive tools for preliminary forecasts and conducting top-down scenario analysis focused on driving growth and competitive advantage
  • Develop models to improve working capital management
  • Provide thought leadership by providing commercial interpretive analysis, advanced analytics and insights across a range of financial indicators to ensure the achievement of strategic objectives
  • Provide financial support in the identification, shaping and evaluation of new business initiatives and growth strategies

What we are looking for:

  • Significant experience in a similar role, largely gained in a project based/professional services environment
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and technical post tertiary qualifications including CA or CPA qualifications or equivalent.
  • High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving utilising digital technologies in financial modelling and analysis, including advanced Excel and understanding of accounting principals.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator.  Someone to drive transformation along with the ability to present detailed analyses in a clear, concise, and actionable manner across multiple countries.
