Environmental Engineering Manager

We are currently seeking a talented Environmental Engineering Manager who has extensive experience in the ANZ consulting market, and an ability to collaborate across a regional ANZ team. The role will involve servicing a range of market sectors and contributing to the growth of our engineering advisory service line. Of high value would be sector profile in major infrastructure, remediation and rehabilitation of industrial, waste, energy and resource sites and experience in the Defence sector. The position will a full-time role based in our Neutral Bay office.

Aligned with Aurecon’s key attributes, the key role requirements will include:

  • Managing the strategy and operations of the engineering services business in the Environment & Planning Group. 
  • Developing strategic plans to support the growth of the contaminated land practice in NSW, as well as participating in regional and global initiatives
  • Leading the design of remediation, rehabilitation, containment and capping, waste and water management and closure projects of varying size and complexity
  • Developing and maintaining work pipeline and working with our Market Leaders in opportunity pursuit
  • Managing field teams, sub-consultants and sub-contractors
  • Maintaining client relationships and enhancing the profile of our business through industry association
  • Preparing reports and presentations of a high technical and editorial quality 
  • Working collaboratively with civil, geotechnical, water and contaminated land teams to provide technical advice to multidisciplinary project teams and to clients.

Your ideal qualifications and skills would include:

  • At least twelve years of experience in a consultancy engineering environment, managing environmental related design projects
  • High level project management experience
  • Experience across a broad range of industries such as transport, oil & gas, buildings, energy, resources, water and government and Defence
  • Ability to manage teams and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, taking responsibility for delivery
  • High level presentation and written communications skills
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field such as environmental science, earth science or engineering
  • A desire to deliver exceptional client experiences
  • Chartered Engineer status required
  • Certified Environmental Practitioner (or equivalent) status desirable
  • Current drivers licence.
